Commuters learn their rights in Swiss train stations. Commuters learn their rights in Swiss train stations.

Every four minutes another one of the thirty human rights from the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights aired on major stations in Switzerland, marking the 60th Anniversary of the Declaration. Viewed on large screens in major train stations in Zurich, Bern, Lausanne and Geneva, these public service announcements (PSAs) brought human rights education to viewers 1,500 times in one day.

Youth for Human Rights’ dramatic audiovisual PSAs communicate key human rights concepts in each of the thirty-second or one-minute spots. The PSAs are on DVD and are included in the Youth for Human Rights package of materials, and have aired on over a thousand TV stations internationally.
